These scholarships are offered to students attending an accredited university or college from outside organizations. More details can be obtained from that organization.
AES Engineers Scholarship
Scholarship Criteria: Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. 2010 Partners With St Josephs Hospital Scholarship
Partners with Saint Joseph’s Hospital is proud to again offer its scholarship program to students aspiring education in the health care field. Applications must be postmarked no later than February 15, 2010. Incomplete or late applications cannot be considered. Questions can be directed to Donna Follen at 715-486-3009. Coulee Region Professional Women Scholarship
The primary objective of CRPW is to promote the professional, educational, cultural and social advancement of women. This year the local chapter will award scholarships totaling $2,000 to area women.
Criteria:
- Available to women who are high school seniors or students in higher education
- Based on financial need, academic achievements and community involvement
- Applicant does not have to be going into a business related field
- Application along with an autobiographical statement, transcript and 3 character reference letters is due March 12th.

Helmuth F. and Else N. Arps Scholarship
This scholarship is being administered by the UW Oshkosh Financial Aid Office for 10 scholarships approximately $400 each.
Criteria:
- applicants must be residents of Calumet County, who will have graduated from a Calumet County high school
- applicants must be enrolled as undergraduate students during the 2005-2006 academic year at a UW System institution
- applicants must demonstrate financial need. They must file the 2005-2006 FAFSA and denote his/her institution as its recipient. After receiving the Student Aid Report (SAR), he/she must mail a copy of it to UW Oshkosh, Financial Aid Office by the deadline date
- applicants must demonstrate scholastic achievement
- applicants must demonstrate good character as evidenced through their extracurricular activities and leadership skills
- applicants must include two letters of recommendation, mainly addressing their scholastic achievement, extra-curricular activities and leadership skills. UW Oshkosh reserves the right to contact references for additional information

Emma Brzazowske Scholarship offered by the American Legion Auxiliary--Roy L. Vingers Unit #52 for a $500 award.
Eligibility:
- applicant must be a daughter, son, wife, husband, widow or widower of a veteran. Stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of veterans may also apply. Students may apply for scholarships regardless of the period of time that the veterans served without regard to the specific eligibility dates of the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary.
- applicants must
- be in need of financial help to continue education beyond high school
- have at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- be a resident of the City of La Crosse, Town of Shelby, or Town of Campbell or the child, grandchild or great-grandchild of a paid Unit #52 Auxiliary member
- school selected need not be in Wisconsin, but must be accredited.

Partners of Black River Memorial Hospital
There are several scholarships the Partners of Black River Memorial Hospital support: Health Career Scholarship ($2,000); Technical College Scholarship ($1,000); Ida Instenes and Mabel Stai Scholarship ($1,000) and David and Donna Demask Certified Nursing Assistant Scholarship (two $400)
Criteria:
- Applicant must be a resident of Jackson Country or graduated from a high school in Jackson County or currently employed at a health care facility/agency in Jackson Country for a minimum of one year.
- Deadline for completed applications is March 15

Future Teacher Scholarship—Hartford Union High School Teachers Association
Hartford Union High School Teachers Association will be offering an annual scholarship for a former HUHS graduate who plans to pursue a teaching career.
Criteria:
- Applicant must have an application to the School of Education and near completion of two years of undergraduate study
- Applicant will need to submit an essay, college transcripts and two letters of recommendation
- Finalists may be interviewed before the selection is completed
- Applications are due by April 1

Future Teacher Scholarship—Central Middle School
Central Middle School will be offering a $500 teaching scholarship for a Hartford Union High School and Central School graduate.
Criteria:
- Applicant must be accepted into the College of Education and is presently an intern or student teaching
- Selection will be based on the applicant’s character, scholarship and financial need
- Each application must submit a letter of inquiry to Pam Brandt at Central Middle School
- Applications are due by April 1, 2005, October 14, 2005 and February 10, 2006

Geneva Lake Association Environmental Education Foundation Scholarships
The Geneva Lake Association Environmental Education Foundation, Inc. would like to offer two scholarships to college students who are in pursuit of a degree in the natural sciences. There are two scholarships—one at the undergraduate level at $1,500 and one at the graduate level for up to $2,500.
Criteria:
- Undergraduate scholarship awarded to junior or seniors who are pursuing a degree in the natural sciences. One scholarship awarded to a student registered and actively involved in a graduate program in pursuit of a post-graduate degree in the natural sciences
- When selecting the top candidate, the GLAEEF considers each candidate’s academic record, professional goals, relevant work experience and residency.
- Recipient must be resident or previous resident of the Geneva Lake area in Wisconsin

American Association of University Women—Appleton Branch Scholarships
The AAUW plans to award three scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 for the 2005-2006 school year to women who are registered to attend a four year college, university or a graduate school program
Criteria:
- Must be a woman who has graduated from a high school in the communities from which their membership is composed. Those high schools are Appleton, Neenah, Menasha, Kaukauna, Kimberly, Little Chute, Wrightstown, Freedom and Seymour, either public or private.
- Must be enrolled as a full time student in a baccalaureate or post baccalaureate program at an accredited college or university
- Must be entering her junior or senior year or be enrolled in a graduate school program. If just entering graduate school, must show proof of acceptance from that school.
- Must have maintained a high scholastic record as verified by official transcript(s) from colleges attended or attending.
- Must submit a complete packet which shall include:
a. Scholarship application form
b. Official transcripts
c. A reference from at least one professor
d. Verification of financial need from the institution or statement of anticipated cost of graduate school you will be attending
- Applications are due by April 15, 2005

American Association of University Women—Racine Branch
AAUW is offering a $1,500 scholarship to a female resident of Racine County, Wisconsin.
Criteria:
- Must be female and a legal resident of Racine County, Wisconsin.
- Will be a first or second semester junior in a four year accredited degree-granting institution as of September, 2005.
- Is a full time student (12 or more credit hours per semester).
- Has a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above.
- Must have two letters of recommendation submitted, one academic (from a dean, professor, teacher or advisor) and the other personal.
- Application, essay, copy of financial aid request form and copy of transcript(s) deadline is postmarked no later than April 1, 2005

La Crosse Industrial Safety & Health Council Scholarship (LISHC) offers a $500 scholarship award to a student pursuing a degree in the safety (i.e., police science, fire safety, etc.) or health field. In addition, the award will include a free one-year membership in the LISHC. Applicants must submit the following to be considered:
- name, current address and telephone number
- university or technical college and major enrolled in
- two faculty reference letters on department letterhead
- current academic transcripts
- list of extra curricular activities, including community involvement
- a one-page statement listing qualifications and career objectives

Polish Women’s Cultural Club of Milwaukee
Polanki annually sponsors a College Achievement Awards competition to recognize students who have demonstrated superior academic performance. The competition is open to students of Polish heritage and to non-Polish students studying Polish language, history, society, or culture. Applicants must be college juniors, seniors or graduate students enrolled in a degree program during the 2005-2006 academic year. They must be United States citizens or legal permanent residents. Applicants must be Wisconsin residents or attend college in Wisconsin. Successful applicants will usually have a grade point average of at least a 3.0 on a four point scale and will demonstrate knowledge of Polish culture.

Richland County Home and Community Education (HCE) Scholarship
The Richland County Home and Community Education is awarding a scholarship of $150 to a student(s) from Richland County. Students not living in Richland County are eligible if their parents are a member of the Richland County HCE. Any member of the Richland County HCE organization is also eligible. Students must be enrolled in Family Living or a related course of study. Scholarship awards are available for students attending a technical college or a four year college who are entering their first or second year. Richland Medical Center, Ltd. Foundation
The amount of the scholarship grant will vary from $250 to $1,000 per recipient.
Criteria:
- recipients must be a present resident of Richland, Iowa, Grant or Sauk Counties
- non-relative of members of the Selection Committee or of the officers and directors (spouse, child, grandchild or spouse, thereof)
- recipient will pursue a college level education as an undergraduate degree candidate in the medical sciences and related fields at an educational institution described by section 170 (b) (1) (a) (ii) of the Internal Revenue Code
- financial need
- scholastic aptitude as evidenced by grade point average
- personal qualities evidenced during the application process

Sauk County Association for Home & Community Education Scholarship is sponsoring a $500 scholarship for a Sauk County resident that has completed one year of college and is planning further study in a home economics major.
Criteria:
- Applicant must be a Sauk County resident completing one year of college in a home economics related major at a college or vocational school.
- Eligibility for scholarship is based on scholastic ability, financial need and residence in Sauk County.
- Application must be typed.
- Two reference recommendations must be submitted—one from a professor/instructor and one from someone other than a professor or relative
- Application, picture and recommendation must be postmarked no later than March 15

Mary E. Vogler Memorial Scholarship offered by the Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District Foundation for a prospective teacher. To qualify for this scholarship
- student must have graduated from Chippewa Falls Senior High School
- submit an application
- be student teaching or interning in a K-12 setting or be completed with this phase of their education. College graduates that have completed the above still qualify.

Winnebago County Farm Bureau
The Winnebago County Farm Bureau will award two $500 scholarships to students who they or their parents are members of Winnebago County Farm Bureau.
Criteria:
- applicant must be from a current Winnebago County Farm Bureau member family
- applicant must have completed two or more semesters in an accredited college, university or technical school
- one scholarship will be awarded to a student in an agricultural field of study. All majors (including agricultural) will be considered for the second scholarship;
- applicant will be judged on leadership, scholarship achievement (at least a 2.5 gpa on a 4.0 scale), extracurricular activities and future goals.

Wisconsin Mathematics Council, Inc. offers two scholarships, the Sister Mary Petronia Van Straten and Ethel A. Neijahr Awards. The two $1,500 scholarships are awarded to qualified students enrolled in teacher education programs in the state of Wisconsin. In order to qualify for these awards, the student must be:
- a legal Wisconsin resident
- currently enrolled in Wisconsin public or private teacher education program
- currently enrolled in or have already completed a course in methods of teaching mathematics and
- currently have a GPA of a least 3.0 (B average) or better

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Graduate Scholarship Program expects to award 65 scholarships to students of exceptional promise beginning their graduate studies in fall 2006. The process is highly competitive, with approximately 1,300 candidates nominated annually. The scholarships cover tuition, living expenses, books and other required fees for the length of the graduate degree program, up to six years. Awards vary by student based on the total cost of attendance and other scholarships or grants. The maximum available per student is $50,000 per year. Faculty representatives may nominate current students or alumni up to fives years after graduation. Students and alumni may NOT apply directly.
